Approval of Proposals for New Centers and Institutes The Senate Academic Affairs Committee approved "Approval of Proposals for New Centers and Institutes" in Spring, 2003. This document summarizes the process for proposing and approving new centers and institutes. The Academic Affairs committee reviews such proposals at the request of the Vice Chancellor and Provost in order to offer advisory recommendations on their approval. Included in the document are guidelines for preparing such a proposal for submission to the Academic Affairs committee for its review.
