Bylaws Officers BYLAWS OF THE SENATE As amended during the 2006-2007 session of the University Senate Revising Article I, Sections 1 and 3 and Article V, Section 3 ARTICLE II. OFFICERS Section 1. The Chancellor shall serve as presiding officer at all meetings of the Senate Section 2. In the absence of the Chancellor at any regular or special meeting of the Senate the presiding officer shall be the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Section 3. In the absence of the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs the presiding officer shall be the senior academic administrator present who has longest served on the University faculty. Section 4. The Chancellor shall be an ex officio member of all Senate committees.
