Source Book Definitions & Clarifications FREQUENCY OF OFFERING: Indicates how often the course will be offered: S = offered every semester Y = offered at least once every academic year PREREQUISITES: The prerequisites that the Senate legislates are limited to those fixed course prerequisites that are meant to apply to all sections of a course and remain permanent features of the course. All other kinds of prerequisites or restrictions will be managed by the college or department controlling particular courses. Such restrictions may appear in the catalogs and Time Schedule of Classes, within the technical and publishing limitations of those publications (e.g., in the Time Schedule, these are listed by prefix and number, and limited to three).
