Source Book Grading The grading options are: 1 (A-F) 3 (Remedial) 6 (Pass/Fail) 7 (Not Required) 9 (P-F & Variable Length) 2 (A-F & Variable Length) A (Audit) Option 1 (A-F) will be assumed if none is indicated on the Curriculum Change Form.PASS/FAIL: Any undergraduate may petition to take a course pass/fail if that course is neither a required course nor one in her major area of study. DIPA students are limited to one course graded pass/fail per semester. Courses designated "automatic pass/fail" are those specifically approved as such by the University Senate. In certain pass/fail graded courses, listed on the Grading Option Application form, a student may request a letter grade option. The Pass/Fail grading option must conform to the requirements outlined in Academic Rules and Regulations. ZERO CREDIT OR NC COURSES: Zero Credit Courses: Unless a course has been approved specifically for zero credit or an NC grade, the only place where a course may be so offered is at University College.
