Variable Credit & Variable Length Courses

1. VARIABLE CREDIT COURSES:
Course titles under which various elements are studied and a range of credit may be earned. Each element of the course with its credit and grade is listed separately on the grade report and transcript.

2. VARIABLE LENGTH COURSES:
Variable Length Courses: These courses may begin and/or end at any time during the academic year. At the end of a semester the letter, V, is sometimes given to indicate that the course is of variable length and the grade not yet due. Prior approval of the Senate Committee on Instruction is required to use this grade. A written justification for this grading option must be included with the course proposal.
